Terms of service

These terms apply to merchants who install Mint Shoppable Video ("the app"), made by Mint Labs ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

The service

The app lets you upload videos to your store's Shopify Files (or choose videos already there), tag the products shown in them, and show them in your online store through a theme app extension: a video carousel or grid block and, on Pro, video stories, product page videos and a floating video, with a full-screen viewer where shoppers can add the tagged products to their cart. On Pro it also shows analytics. We may improve or change features; we will not remove a paid feature you rely on without notice.

Your videos and your store

You are responsible for the videos, titles and captions you add, and for having the rights to show them. Your videos are stored and streamed by Shopify in your store's Files, under Shopify's terms and your Shopify plan's storage and upload limits; the app never hosts them. Removing a video from the app doesn't delete it from your Files, and uninstalling the app leaves your videos in your Files. Prices, availability and checkout are your store's own, from Shopify.

Billing

Plans are billed by Shopify every 30 days in USD after the free trial. The app never charges by views, videos or orders. You can change or cancel your plan at any time on Shopify's plan page (Plans in the app) or by uninstalling the app. Charges are handled entirely by Shopify under Shopify's terms.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the app available, accurate and secure, but it is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the 3 months before a claim.

Data processing addendum

When the app processes personal data of your customers on your behalf, you are the controller and we are the processor. We will:

  • process personal data only to provide the app's features, following your instructions given through the app's settings;
  • process only the minimum data needed: we store no customer data. Shoppers' carts stay in Shopify; with Pro analytics we receive anonymous counts per video and paid orders' IDs and line items only (no customer fields), keep daily totals and keep order IDs for 30 days;
  • never sell personal data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models;
  • keep it confidential and limit access to authorised personnel;
  • encrypt it in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (Cloudflare D1 encryption at rest);
  • use Cloudflare (hosting and database) and Shopify as our only sub-processors;
  • delete all shop data after uninstall (shop redaction), and delete access tokens as soon as the app is uninstalled;
  • help you respond to data subject requests (we hold no customer data; listed order IDs are reported or deleted on request) and notify you without undue delay of any personal data breach.

Changes

We will post changes to these terms here and update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
